In the afternoon when the fog was just starting to settle, we got on an obligatory sightseeing boat on the Thames.
The light in London is so different from New York. While New York is a canyon with bright lights and harsh shadows, often showing too much or not enough, here in the diffused sun you see the skyline in fading layers. The light set a mood so as I went into the depths of the city and wandered through the streets, not everything was revealed but the details were always there if I looked.
There, I think I've got all the cliché touristy snaps out of my system. Tomorrow I'll get some fresh batteries for the bessa and can't wait to finish my first roll of film in London.
